Scientific Inc. was incorporated in 1994 in order to serve the environmental community
with technology, training and service. The company consists of 17 employees with
the head office in Edmonton, Alberta and a second office in Mississauga, Ontario.
The company provides their clients with technical assistance to find the most
appropriate technology to meet their measurement and sampling needs whether, that
be for groundwater monitoring, soil remediation, surface water monitoring, health
and safety measurements or Oilfield Environmental. Osprey Scientific Inc.
provides soil sampling devices, water sampling devices, organic field screening
immunoassay kits for priority pollutants, and pesticides, inorganic field screening
kits for waste water parameters, and primary soil parameter, meters for pH, conductivity,
dissolved oxygen, ORP and a series of specific ions. Osprey Scientific Inc. provides
an extensive series of gas monitors and gas tubes for area monitoring, survey
monitoring and fixed systems for facility monitoring. The gas monitors are for
a single or multiple gas measuring passively or using a pump for up to 6 parameters.
Osprey Scientific Inc. recently became the primary supplier in Canada for MicroTox.
which is used for toxicity monitoring. Our client base has since expanded
to include consulting and engineering firms, oil and gas companies, waste collection
companies, various levels and departments of Government organizations and industrial
hygiene consultants. To accommodate our growing client needs our staff has grown
to include technical service, customer support and a larger warehousing department.
Osprey Scientific Inc. will be demonstrating, two types of field kits,
PetroFlag for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons and EnviroGard Immunoassay kits for
PCB's. The PetroFlag is common way to track hydrocarbons in soil and allows site
closure before the laboratory results are received. The immunoassay kits are available
in four formats for a series of pesticides and priority pollutants down to levels
of ppb in water and ppm in soils. The immunoassay can be used to map the plumb
