Low
Profile Air Strippers
Maple
Leaf offers several technologies for stripping VOC's from water
and the treatment of off-gas.
For
low flow rates EnviroMaster Multi-Stage Aeration units are available
which utilize efficient air flows to strip volatiles from water
in multiple stages. Manufactured by Maple Leaf and utilizing industry
standard Rotron blowers, these treatment units are available as
stand alone or as part of a complete remediation package.
For
higher flowrates Maple Leaf utilizes low profile air stripper packages
built around Carbonair's exclusive STAT series air strippers and
Rotron blowers. These units feature rapid installation, easy winterization,
easy maintenance and small footprint. With their efficient design,
these units minimize air flow while maximizing VOC removal.
In
Carbonair's STAT units, the water and air are contacted in step-wise
fashion on multiple trays. The water enters at the top and flows
across each tray. The air passes upwards through openings in the
trays, then bubbles through the water to form "a surface of foam"
which provides extreme turbulence and excellent volatilization.
Since the water in Carbonair's STAT units flows horizontally across
each tray, the travelling path length of water and the required
removal efficiency (up to 99.99%) can be achieved by increasing
both the number and length of the trays.

Liquid Separator
The
VL series of vapour/liquid separators are constructed of epoxy coated
steel with PVC internals for maximum durability at a reasonable
cost. The VL series has a wide range of operating flow rates and
sizes and can be adapted to many operating conditions.
The
VL200 is the most popular model with flowrate capability to 350
cfm. Each VL200 can be equipped with a vacuum relief valve and a
positive air shutoff device that closes off airflow through the
separator when the water level in the separator reaches a high level.
This device does not shut the blower down, however the vacuum relief
valve opens to allow inlet air to the blower. A high level switch
is available as an option to allow the blower to be shutdown on
high level.

models are available up to 10,000 cfm.
